The Ash Tree

When I began to walk this path, I was intent on receiving an Ash wand from the Grove. It was not forthcoming. It wasn't for another few years that the Ash tree gave me its blessing to use a stem for this purpose. It is a great blessing indeed.

The Ash tree is one of the trees associated with the Spring Equinox and therefore with the element of air. It is the fifth tree of the Celtic Tree Ogham. N. Nion. The Ash Tree represents Truth, Understanding and Higher Purpose.
It is also thought that the Norse World Tree - Yggdrasil  - is an Ash.

Its wood is excellent for staffs and wands, especially those that will be used for the purposes of healing.
