“Human presence is a creative and turbulent sacrament, a visible sign of invisible grace”. John O'Donohue

I dreamed last night that I lost a shoe. I was having my hair trimmed at the hairdressers and they took my shoes - and then only gave one back. This was very upsetting to me in the dream. They couldn't find my other shoe and, more upsetting still, didn't seem to care that it was lost. They were my good walking shoes. The ones I wear when I am out in nature.
I feel that this is about identity. I still have one shoe which means I want to continue on my path. But something is holding me back. The hairdressers have (or have lost) my other shoe. I feel they respresent outward appearances.
Perhaps concerning myself with how things appear, or with what others think of my work, is holding me back.
The answers are always there, if we choose to listen.
