“Human presence is a creative and turbulent sacrament, a visible sign of invisible grace”. John O'Donohue

My Grandpa, William Oliphant, was a poet and a wonderful man. Before he died, he made a request of me. "Explain your Grandpa to the world" he said. He didn't mean it in any egotistical fashion. By that time he was suffering from some kind of dementia and the words were the ones he could find to try and explain what he wanted me to do. To be honest, I am not sure if he is so concerned about it now, although I think that he is maybe enjoying the attention!

I believed that he wanted me to share his work with people. It has taken me til now to put he the first efforts into creating something that will "explain him" on http://lovelifedeathafter.blogspot.com My sister added another insight this week, and that is perhaps that I should also write about him. So,as the blog develops, I will add my own thoughts, stories and memories. Grandpa always told me that I should write, that I had a talent. I am thankful for the technology that allows me to share my words, even if nobody reads them!
